Student Massage Clinic
Welcome to the Institute of Sanative Arts Student Clinic—a learning clinic where emerging massage therapists provide affordable services under the guidance of licensed instructors. Your visit supports education, gives students real-world experience, and offers you quality care at student rates.
Note: Student clinic services are provided by unpaid massage therapy student interns who are meeting state training requirements.

Services & Pricing
- 25 minutes – $20
- 50 minutes – $40
- 80 minutes – $60
Available as single or couples sessions. For couples, please give us a call to reserve our couples room. We will not be able to honor couples massages if scheduled online.

What to Expect
- Who will work with you: Unpaid student interns (massage therapy students) provide your session. Licensed instructors oversee the clinic; an instructor may or may not be in the room during your service.
- Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early for new-client paperwork.
- After your session: Plan 10–15 minutes to complete a Student Evaluation Feedback Form—this is essential to the student’s learning.
- Draping & Modesty: The student will explain how to get on the table and how you’ll be draped. Professional draping is used at all times.
- Communication: Please speak up during the session about pressure, temperature, or comfort—clear feedback helps students learn and helps you relax.
- Devices: Please silence phones while in session to maintain a calm environment.
Etiquette & Dress Code
Our clinic is a professional learning space. Please arrive clean, scent-moderate, and ready to relax. Remove jewelry that may interfere with bodywork.
Health & Safety
- You’ll complete a medical history intake and discuss contraindications before your session.
- Pregnancy: Please inform us in advance and share your due date so we can schedule appropriately.
- Feeling unwell? Please call to reschedule. We appreciate your help keeping our clinic healthy.

We are a fully inclusive clinic, welcoming clients of all bodies, genders, and identities.
To ensure meaningful feedback for our students, we ask that clients have had at least one professional massage prior to visiting our student clinic.
Professional Conduct
We have a zero-tolerance policy for any misconduct toward students or staff, including physical, verbal, or sexual misconduct. Violations will result in immediate termination of the session and future scheduling restrictions.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to respect the next client’s appointment time. The full service fee still applies.
Age Policy
Clients under 18 must be accompanied in the room by a parent or legal guardian.

Deposit & Confirmation
ISA enforces a 100% deposit for all appointments. You’ll receive a confirmation via your chosen communication method. Credit card payments may include a standard processing fee.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full service value.
- Deposits are non-refundable under this policy.
Why Your Visit Matters
When you book a student massage, you’re directly supporting hands-on education. Your constructive feedback helps students grow in professionalism, communication, ergonomics, and technical skill—skills they’ll carry into their careers and use to serve our community.

What services do you offer?
25-, 50-, and 80-minute massages, available as single or couples sessions.
How much does it cost?
$20 (25 min), $40 (50 min), $60 (80 min). Tips are cash only and optional.
Who performs the massage?
Unpaid massage therapy student interns, supervised by licensed instructors. An instructor may or may not observe your session.
How do I book?
Online or by phone/text at 616-791-0472. A 100% deposit is required to secure your appointment.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations/no-shows are charged the full service value.
Can I use a gift card?
Not at this time.
Do I need previous massage experience?
Yes. Our clinic is for clients who have had at least one professional massage, so they can provide helpful feedback for student learning.
What should I expect at my appointment?
Arrive 10 minutes early for paperwork. After your session, plan 10–15 minutes for a student feedback form.
Can I request my preference for a specific pressure?
Communicate your preferences—students will work within their training and instructor guidance.
